Aaron Dai — Mansfield State High School

What does being part of this group mean to you?

Being part of the myQCE Student Reference Group means being able to make sure the voices and opinions of students are heard, particularly at a school and community as big as mine. It's also a great way to connect with other motivated students around the state.

What are you passionate about?

There are a lot of things I am passionate about — playing music, debating, mathematics and current affairs. I also want to make a difference in people's lives, whether that is supporting people when they feel alone or listening to people's problems and making sure they are heard.

What do you hope to do in the future?

I hope to pursue medicine, engineering or teaching. I want a career that allows me to contribute meaningfully to society, whether that is through healthcare, designing/building structures or helping the next generation through teaching.

Complete this sentence: "Students deserve to be heard because …”

The QCE system has an impact on every student. It's critical that students can provide feedback to improve the relevancy, scope and suitability of the schooling system. I know first hand from my peers that students have really awesome ideas as well.
