How do I apply?

To apply, complete the information below and tell us why you want to be involved.

A couple of things before you start:

Ask someone at your school (a teacher or other staff member) if they are happy to be your referee. You will need to enter their name and work contact details in the form below.
Ask your school principal to endorse your application. You will need to include their name and work contact details in the form below
You will need consent from your parent/carer, so you may like to complete the form while you are at home.

Permission – Personal Information

As part of your participation in the myQCE Student Reference Group, the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority may collect, use and publish your personal information. ‘Personal information’ may include an individual’s name, their association with a school, their image, video, or voice recording. Personal information in the QCAA's possession is managed in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and other applicable law.

Generally, the QCAA will remove personal information from material before its publication, but sometimes the purpose or type of publication makes this impossible (e.g. photograph or video). While QCAA publications which may contain personal information are primarily directed toward educators, they may also be accessible to the wider community (e.g. in promotional material or from the QCAA website).

By signing this form, the signatory (on behalf of the student if the student is under 18) provides permission to the QCAA to use and publish the student's personal information, if necessary. The signatory further consents to the QCAA storing and transmitting the student's personal information on or via IT equipment located outside Australia.

This agreement must be signed by the student's parent or guardian unless the student is over 18. The QCAA accepts no responsibility for circumstances in which it is misled as to the identity, authority, or ability of a person to provide permission.

Electronic Signature: By completing the fields above and inserting the signatory's name below, the signatory agrees that this becomes a signed document under section 14 of the Electronic Transactions (Queensland) Act 2001.
